Building a brighter world: The Global Health Office 2017-2018 annual report
The Global Health Office is pleased to release our annual report for 2017-2018. Our growing network of global partnerships has enabled research collaborations, training experiences, and fieldwork opportunities, both locally and globally. We have hosted expert speakers from the wider global health community, including last year’s Chanchlani Global Health Research Award recipient, Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian, as well as Canada’s Ambassador of Norway, and the Consul General of the Netherlands.
In addition, the Office has welcomed delegations from countries including China, Japan, Kuwait and Thailand, and students in the Master of Science in Global Health program have completed field practicums in locations including the High North of Norway and the Caribbean region in Jamaica.
The award-winning MSc Global Health program is delivered in co-ordination with seven diverse academic institutions, and we are currently exploring opportunities for expansion as we strengthen our higher education consortium to research and teach globalization and health, while sharing knowledge and resources.
