The Global Health Annual Review recognizes the diverse expression of research and story-telling in the world of global health
The eighth issue of the student-led, open access journal Global Health: Annual Review (GHAR) is now published and available online. The GHAR, which showcases research influenced by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), is transdisciplinary and collaborative by design, inviting submissions from students, academics, and professionals from the McMaster community and beyond.
The GHAR is dedicated to providing a platform for the global research community to share their findings, insights, and perspectives on all aspects of global health. The issue features research articles, opinion editorials, reflective narratives and art-based narratives which demonstrate the interplay between the biological, social, and physical factors that influence health and disease globally.
This year’s edition provides insight into global health issues near and far, and focuses on 6 key areas: Indigenous Health & Colonialism, Women’s Health, Mental Health, Health Equity, COVID-19, and Infectious Disease. Recognizing the diverse expression of research and story-telling in the world of global health, the GHAR features a collection of works curated to provide insights into the world of global health.
Editors-in Chief, Maya Kshatriya and Aeda Bhagaloo, both graduates of the MSc Global Health program, hope that Issue 8 inspires learning and curiosity.
