Bridging Different Worlds, Day 6: Weekend Conference
Today was the beginning of the Weekend Conference for the 2017 Global Health Symposium. Students and Faculty from Manipal, Maastricht, and McMaster University gathered at the Dr. TMA Pai Hall.
The day started with an inauguration headed by the Vice Chancellor of Manipal University, Dr. H. Vinod Bhat. He welcomed the students and faculty from the visiting institutions with kind and gracious words, followed by a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, with the assistance of individuals from the host campus. This was followed by a speech from an expert keynote speaker, Prof. Sanjoy Hazarika.
