Remembering Hans Rosling – Legendary Statistician and Chanchlani Global Health Research Award Recipient, 2014
The Global Health Office was saddened by the news of Hans Rosling, who passed away yesterday. The international health professor and statistics guru brought global trends in health and economics to “vivid life,” as TED.com puts it, in his animated and dynamic lectures.
In 2014, Rosling, named one of the World’s 100 Most Influential People (2012) by Time magazine, visited McMaster to receive the Chanchlani Global Health Research Award – and captivated everyone in attendance at his lecture.
