Bio

Pia Bing-Jonsson was appointed vice-dean of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, University of South-Eastern Norway in 2017. She works with strategic development and educational quality of the Faculty’s study portfolio, internationalization, as well as internal and external strategic co-operation. In addition, she teaches and supervises nursing and master students, has established a new master’s program in advanced practice nursing, is the course leader of two master courses, and does postdoctoral research on advanced practice nursing, as well as delirium and nursing competence in home care.

Bio

Hans Einar Hem is an anthropologist with field experience from East Africa, South Asia, The Middle East and Europe. He was instrumental in developing the master’s program in Health Promotion that started at USN in 2005, and is now responsible for the development of global health in a new master’s program in Society & Health, to start in 2020.

Bio

Teaching at an institution with one of the country’s largest nursing programs, and the only optometry education in Norway, Jörn Klein educates competent healthcare professionals with a patient-centred approach. His personal research field is within OneHealth, and ecological and medical microbiology. He has broad experience in biological research and risk assessment of cross-border microorganisms, and extensive experience in collaborating with European and international organizations.

Bio

Eva Merethe Solum is project coordinator for the High North Program partnership between McMaster and the University College of Southeast Norway. She teaches mainly in global health, public health and health promotion at bachelor and master levels. Her research interests lie in professional ethics in nursing education and migration of nurses due to nursing shortages and influences on patient safety.

Steffen Torp is a professor in the Department of Health Promotion, University College of Southeast Norway. He teaches mainly in the Masters in Health Promotion on issues related to occupational and public health. His current research interests are work engagement and workaholism, return to work among cancer survivors and how Norway’s municipalities address inequity and social determinants of health.
